To run Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa from Odoo, you connect your Seller Central account through Amazon’s Selling Partner API, so orders, FBA and FBM stock and settlements flow into Odoo. Each marketplace then needs its own tax set-up: UAE VAT is 5% and Saudi VAT is 15%. Consumer orders and B2B invoices follow different e-invoicing rules.
This guide is for sellers in the GCC who list on one or both stores and keep their books in Odoo. It covers what an Amazon.ae Odoo integration moves, how the two VAT rates land on each invoice, where the UAE e-invoicing mandate does and does not touch Amazon sales, and what to set up first. It is written as of 7 November 2026.
Two stores, two tax systems, one Odoo database
Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa are separate marketplaces. Prices on Amazon.ae are in UAE dirhams (AED). Prices on Amazon.sa are in Saudi riyals (SAR). Each country has its own VAT law and its own tax authority.
Amazon offers Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) on both stores, and on both you can ship orders yourself. Amazon.ae also offers Easy Ship, where Amazon handles the delivery for you.
In Odoo, the hard part is not getting orders in. It is keeping two sets of rules apart: the right tax rate, the right currency and the right stock pool for every order, without someone fixing invoices by hand at month end.
Amazon.ae Odoo integration, with Amazon.sa alongside
Our Amazon Connector for Odoo lists UAE (AE) and Saudi Arabia (SA) among the sixteen marketplaces it supports. One Odoo instance can manage several marketplaces, each with its own tax and fulfilment configuration. You authorise the connection through Amazon’s own SP-API login, and your Amazon data is processed and stored inside your own Odoo.
What moves between Amazon and Odoo
Amazon UAE orders in Odoo Sales
FBA and FBM orders import into Odoo Sales automatically or on a schedule. The customer, line items, prices and shipping details map to Odoo records. Cancellations, returns and refunds come across too. Order prefixes are configurable, so Amazon orders are easy to tell apart from your other sales.
FBA and FBM stock for Amazon UAE and Saudi
For orders you ship yourself, Odoo is the stock master. The connector pushes stock levels from Odoo to Amazon in near real time, by schedule, by hand or by rule, so you do not sell what you do not have. It handles several warehouses and several marketplaces, which matters if you hold stock in both countries.
For FBA, Amazon holds the stock. The connector imports the FBA live inventory report into Odoo, creates FBA inbound shipments and tracks their items, and creates removal orders when you want stock back. Odoo then shows what sits in your own warehouse and what sits with Amazon, in one place.
AED and SAR in one Odoo database
Multi-currency orders convert automatically. If your company keeps its books in AED and also sells on Amazon.sa, the riyal orders are converted in Odoo.
VAT: 5% in the UAE, 15% in Saudi Arabia
The two rates are three times apart, so a wrong mapping is not a rounding error. It is a wrong VAT return.
Amazon.ae VAT at 5%
The UAE introduced VAT on 1 January 2018 at a standard rate of 5%, according to the Ministry of Finance. Registration is mandatory once taxable supplies and imports pass AED 375,000, and voluntary above AED 187,500. Some supplies are zero-rated, such as exports of goods and services to outside the GCC.
Amazon.sa VAT at 15%
Saudi Arabia’s standard VAT rate has been 15% since 1 July 2020, when the tax authority, then called GAZT and now ZATCA, raised it from 5%. ZATCA runs both VAT and e-invoicing in the Kingdom.
Tax invoices for Amazon orders in Odoo
For every imported order, the connector creates a matching customer invoice in Odoo from the order lines, the prices and the applicable fiscal position. Tax is applied through Odoo fiscal positions and tax rules mapped to the destination marketplace. The rate is resolved from the ship-to country and the product’s tax category. In practice, you set up a 5% UAE tax and a 15% Saudi tax in Odoo once, and the fiscal position picks the right one for each order.
Two more things matter at filing time. Tax that Amazon collects and remits as the marketplace is recorded separately from tax you owe yourself. And Amazon settlement data is reconciled in Odoo, so payouts, fees and orders can be matched before you file.

See the Amazon Connector for OdooWhere UAE e-invoicing touches an Amazon business
The UAE mandate starts with business invoices, so whether an invoice is in scope depends on who the buyer is.
Amazon.ae consumer orders and UAE e-invoicing
Ministerial Decision No. 244 of 2025 says business-to-consumer transactions are not subject to the Electronic Invoicing System, and a person engaged only in such transactions is not subject to it either, until the Minister decides otherwise. The decision defines a business-to-consumer transaction as one with a natural person who is not carrying on business.
So an Amazon.ae order from a consumer is outside UAE e-invoicing today. The connector still creates the Odoo invoice for that order. What it does not need is a trip through an Accredited Service Provider. If some of your Amazon buyers are businesses, ask how those orders are treated.
UAE e-invoicing for your B2B invoices
If you also sell to retailers, distributors or government buyers outside Amazon, those invoices fall under the mandate. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more had to appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027. Everyone else must appoint by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. Government entities follow on 1 October 2027.
The decision defines revenue as gross income in your most recent accounting period, based on your financial statements. That figure decides your phase.
In-scope invoices must be structured PINT AE e-invoices sent through an Accredited Service Provider. Odoo does not produce that format out of the box, and Odoo 20 does not add it either. If Wafeq is your provider, our Odoo–Wafeq connector validates, submits and tracks invoices from inside Odoo on versions 15 to 20. For any other accredited provider, we build the equivalent.
Your Amazon orders and your B2B invoices can sit in the same Odoo. Keeping Amazon orders on their own sales journal makes it easy to see which invoices must go to the provider and which do not.
Saudi e-invoicing and Amazon.sa
Saudi Arabia works differently. ZATCA’s e-invoicing, called Fatoora, covers both tax invoices, usually issued business to business, and simplified tax invoices, usually issued to consumers. Phase One has applied since 4 December 2021 to all taxpayers except non-resident taxpayers. Phase Two connects your invoicing system to ZATCA’s platform and is rolling out in waves. Wave 25 covers taxpayers whose revenue subject to VAT passed SAR 187,500 in any of 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025, with integration due by 1 February 2027.
Odoo ships its own ZATCA e-invoicing module in its standard code. Who issues the invoice for an Amazon.sa order, and through which system, depends on how and where your business is registered. Settle that before you configure anything.
Amazon’s new AI plugin is not open to GCC sellers yet
On 23 September 2026 Amazon announced the Amazon Selling Partner plugin. It launches in Amazon Quick and is in beta with Anthropic’s Claude. It connects listings, performance metrics, inventory levels and sales analytics, and it can take actions with human approval.
Amazon says it is available in beta for sellers in Amazon’s US stores, with international expansion to follow. It has not given a date for other stores. As of 7 November 2026, a seller on Amazon.ae or Amazon.sa cannot use it.
Amazon Selling Partner plugin and your Odoo data
Even where it is live, the plugin works on Amazon’s data. It does not know your Odoo: the stock in your own warehouse, your purchase orders, your landed cost or your accounting entries. Getting Amazon data into Odoo is the connector’s job. If you want an AI assistant that can work with Amazon data on your terms, we build custom Amazon MCP servers on the SP-API as a service, per client.
What to set up first
- Confirm your tax position for each country. Where you are registered for VAT, which invoices you must issue, and which UAE e-invoicing phase applies to your B2B sales.
- Set up the taxes in Odoo. A 5% UAE VAT tax, a 15% Saudi VAT tax, zero-rated and exempt taxes where they apply to you, and a fiscal position for each marketplace.
- Set the currencies. Activate AED and SAR, and decide which Odoo company owns the Amazon sales.
- Map products and warehouses. Link each Amazon SKU to an Odoo product, and keep FBA stock separate from the stock in your own warehouse.
- Connect Seller Central and test. Authorise the connector, import a small batch of orders from each marketplace, and check every invoice line: rate, currency and total.
- Reconcile one settlement before you trust the numbers. Match the payout against orders and fees in Odoo.
- Plan B2B e-invoicing as its own project. Appoint your Accredited Service Provider by your deadline and connect Odoo to it. The Amazon connector does not do this part.

Where we stand
Inwizards makes the Amazon Connector for Odoo, so we have an interest here. Weigh what we say with that in mind. It costs USD 500 for Seller Central, and we confirm the set-up for your Odoo version, edition and marketplaces first. To weigh it against other options, our comparison of Odoo Amazon connectors lists prices, versions and editions from each vendor’s own listing. For the general picture of how the two systems fit, read our Amazon Odoo integration guide.
We have built software since 2009, with teams in Dubai, the US and India. We are not affiliated with Amazon, and we are not an Accredited Service Provider.
