Salesforce MCP Server: Custom-Built for Your Org

A Salesforce MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude query and update your Salesforce org through the open Model Context Protocol. Salesforce offers a hosted MCP server for standard needs. Inwizards designs and builds custom Salesforce MCP servers around the objects, Flows, Apex, and sharing model that make your org yours - with an on-premise option.

What is a Salesforce MCP server?

A Salesforce MCP server is a translation layer between AI assistants and your Salesforce org, built on the open Model Context Protocol. It turns leads, opportunities, accounts, and cases into tools an assistant can call - so pipeline questions get asked in plain English and answered from live CRM data.

The case for custom

Your org is not a standard org. Your MCP server should not be either.

Over the years, your admins have shaped Salesforce into something no other company runs: custom objects for the way you price, Flows that route work the way your teams operate, Apex that encodes decisions nobody ever wrote down, validation rules born from expensive lessons, and a sharing model tuned to how your business is actually organized. A generic hosted server looks at all of that and sees standard objects. A custom Salesforce MCP server is engineered around your org map, so an assistant answers the way your business really works.

Which path fits your org?

An honest answer beats a pitch. Here is how we would triage you.

Path A · Hosted may do

Mostly standard, Enterprise Edition or above

Your processes live in standard Sales Cloud objects, customization is light, and your users already sit inside the Salesforce ecosystem. Salesforce's own hosted MCP server was made for exactly this situation.

Try the official server first - genuinely.
Path B · Custom build

Deep customization, strict security, or multi-system ambitions

Years of custom objects and automation, on-premise or data-residency constraints, or agents that must see Salesforce next to your ERP and messaging stack. Generic layers run out of road here.

A custom MCP server earns its keep.
Path C · Not sure

Somewhere in between, like most orgs

We run a short review of your object model and automation, weigh it against what the hosted server already covers, and give you a straight recommendation - including "you do not need us yet."

We audit your org and tell you honestly.

What each team asks, once Salesforce can talk

Different roles, different questions - one governed way in.

RevOpsPipeline hygiene & process

Hygiene stops being a quarterly cleanup crusade and becomes a daily conversation. RevOps asks for the exceptions - deals missing close dates, opportunities parked in one stage too long - and gets a digest to act on rather than a report to build.

"Which open opportunities have no next step scheduled?" "Give me a digest of deals that have not moved stage recently."
Sales leadershipForecast narrative

Before the Monday call, a leader asks for the story behind the number, not another dashboard: what changed since last week, which deals drove the change, and where the commit looks soft. The assistant reads it straight from the org.

"Summarize how this quarter's forecast shifted since last week, and why."
ServiceCase triage

Morning triage becomes a briefing. Service managers ask what escalated overnight, which accounts have clusters of open cases, and what each customer is waiting on - summarized from case history instead of pieced together by hand.

"What escalated overnight, and what does each customer need from us?"

Notice what is missing from those examples: nobody exported a report, built a dashboard, or filed a ticket with the Salesforce admin team. The question was the interface. That is the quiet shift an MCP server brings to an enterprise org - the institutional knowledge locked in your CRM becomes available to anyone senior enough to ask for it, and only to them, because every answer is filtered through the permissions that person already holds.

How we build it

Five deliberate steps between your org and its first assistant.

Org discovery

We map your objects, fields, record types, Flows, Apex, and sharing model - and interview the teams who will actually be asking the questions.

Tool-surface design

Together we decide exactly which objects and actions the AI may touch, and just as deliberately, which it may not. This surface is the contract everything else honors.

Build, with your rules enforced

The server is implemented as a scoped integration, so profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security keep governing every single request.

UAT in sandbox

Your team pressure-tests real pipeline questions against a full sandbox until the answers earn trust. Wrong answers get traced to their cause - a missing field mapping, an ambiguous label - and fixed before anyone relies on them. Nothing reaches production on faith.

Deploy and evolve

Go-live with audit logging on, then scheduled reviews as your org changes - new objects and Flows get mapped instead of ignored.

Inwizards has been building business software since 2009, from offices in the USA, Dubai, and Indore, and this work applies the same engineering approach behind our WhatsApp, Zoho, Odoo, and SAP MCP servers. Answers

Salesforce MCP questions

Asked by RevOps leaders and admins before an org meets its first assistant.

It is a service layer that exposes chosen parts of a Salesforce org to AI assistants using the Model Context Protocol, an open standard. Once connected, an assistant like Claude can look up records, summarize pipeline, and make approved updates - all inside boundaries your admins define.

For a fairly standard org on Enterprise Edition, it may well be - and we will say so if we review your setup. Custom development earns its keep when your org carries years of custom objects, Flows, and a non-trivial sharing model, or when you need on-premise deployment or agents spanning multiple systems.

That is a design requirement, not an afterthought. A custom server authenticates against Salesforce as a scoped integration, so profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security continue to govern everything any assistant can see or touch.

You decide per action. Most teams begin with read-only pipeline queries, then gradually allow low-risk writes such as logging a call or adding a task, and keep higher-risk changes behind explicit human confirmation.

The server's tool surface is maintained alongside your metadata. When new objects, fields, or Flows land, we extend the mapping in a maintenance cycle, so assistants stay accurate instead of drifting out of date.

With an org discovery session: we review your object model, automation, and the questions your teams actually ask, then propose a scoped first release - typically read-only on a handful of objects - before anything touches production.

Two routes. For standard needs on Enterprise Edition, Salesforce's own hosted MCP servers may be enough - connect them from Claude's settings. For orgs with custom objects, Flows, or on-premise requirements, we build a custom MCP server around your org map and you add it to Claude as a connector.
